Question: Can I change my screen name?
Answer: Yes you can. Go to your Profile and click on Modify Profile. The fourth box from the top says Display Name. Change the name written in that box to the name you want and click on the Modify Profile button at the end of the page, and you´re done. 
Question: How do I become a Staff Member here?
Answer: Staff positions on VME are given by invitation only. Please don't ask, it could ruin your chances when the admin need a new moderator.
Question: What is this TOS I have heard about?
Answer: TOS stand for Terms Of Service. You can read it here.
Question: Am I allowed to add a banner for my own, or a friend’s site in my signature?
Answer: Yes, all active members are allowed to advertise for any site that does not violate the ProBoards Terms Of Service. However, do not post a link anywhere on the forum unless given permission by the “Empress” Moonshadow.
Question: How do I send a Private Message?
Answer: When looking at a users mini profile (that’s the profile one sees when posting on the boards), click the tiny button that looks like an envelop and paper. This will automatically bring you to the page that will allow the sending of Private Messages, (aka “PM”). You can also send PM’s by clicking on a users name, and then choosing the “Send this member a private message” line. After typing out your message to the specific user, click the “send message” button, and the message will be sent.
Question: I lost my password. What do I do?
Answer: Here´s what you can do:
On the Login Page, next to the Password Box you will see this: Forgot password. Click on that and your password will be sent to your e-mail address.
If you haven´t updated your e-mail, you can e-mail our admin, Moonshadow. And she will make you a new one. It can either be sent to your correct e-mail address, or you can request a specific password (the last option isn´t advised).
Question: How do I check my Private Messages?
Answer: Below the banner there is a bar with a line that reads: Welcome back to Valheraan-Moashi Empire, [insert name]. You have [insert number] new messages. Click on that, and it will bring you to your Inbox. Also, at the very bottom of the forum, in the Information Center, there is an option to check private messages. It will say: Welcome back to Valheraan-Moashi Empire, [insert name]! You have [insert number] messages, [insert number] are new. Choose the line to the left, and it will bring you to your Inbox.

----Definitions
Average Board Definitions:
Flaming:
Harassing, degrading, or abusing verbally fellow members, or member groups. Flaming is usually directed at a specific user, but may be directed at a community as well.
Baiting:
Baiting is defined as an act of ‘luring’ another user to break the rules of the forum, or violate the TOS. Similar to flaming, but with more subtle techniques, often sneaky and underhanded.
Trolling:
Defined as a post or posts with the motive to gain attention by either acting violently or disrupting with intent to violate the TOS and forum rules. ‘Trolls’ often use flaming and baiting as ways of achieving their goals.
Forum "Ranks":
Administrator:
An administrator (also shortened to just “admin”) is the one who created the forum and has ultimate power over all of the members. The administrator of the Valheraan-Moashi Empire is the “Empress” Moonshadow. The administrator (or “Empress”) decides every little bit of coding, graphics, and content that is in the forum. [She] They are the rulers of the forum.
Global Moderator:
A Global Moderator (also known as a Vizier) are one step below the administrator. They have moderation powers that affect all the boards, they are the security and law enforcers of the forum. The only one a Global Moderator (or Vizier) answers to is an administrator, and often times their jobs are at the direct command from the administrator.
Moderator:
A Moderator is two steps below an admin, one step below a Global Moderator. They are charged with select boards that are under their jurisdiction (you can find who monitors which board by seeing the name of the person below the board title). A Moderator has limited powers, and can only use his/her “powers” (powers are the ability to move, lock, sticky, and otherwise control the threads that are posted in the specific board) in the board that he/she is assigned, and nowhere else. However, just because a moderator has restricted powers, does not mean that they cannot enforce the laws of the forum elsewhere when someone breaks them.
VIP:
A VIP (Very Important Person) is a member that the administrator has given special privileges to converse with the forum staff in boards that are closed off to the public. VIP’s do not monitor any boards, but are similar to advisors to the administrator and other staff.
NOTE about STAFF: All staff members, no matter rank or status, should be treated with the same respect as the forum administrator, and should be treated with the same respect that you yourself would like to be treated.
Member:
A member is the every day forum poster; they have no “powers” and do not control any boards whatsoever. However, without the ‘member’ the forum would not exceed, and therefore every member must be treated with the same respect as staff.
Guest:
A guest is a person who is lurking around the boards and is not logged in, or is not a member of the forum.
Fanfiction Definitions:
Ships: Relationships. A well known pairing (usually romanticized), between two people.
